Music Magazine Plan
This is the thumbnail i made for ideas of how to plan my front cover. As my results from my audience research showed people would prefer 'mostly image' on the front cover, i have planned to put an image in the background with the only text being the title and subheadings. This therefore means minimal text and mostly image.
This is the plan for my contents page. As the audience research showed people would prefer 'mostly image' for the front cover i thought id follow the same theme the whole way through the magazine. This thumbnail plan therefore shows there will be two large images on the page and three lists showing the pages in the magazine. I am doing three different lists for different categories such as 'features', 'on the cover' and 'regular.'
This is the thumbnail i made for my double page spread. The right page is made up of only image. this again follows the scheme of 'mostly image' to match the front cover and contents page. The left page is set out as a three column grid system. This will be an article complimenting the picture on the right page. I have also left space for an image on the left page and the bottom of the third column. The reason for this is to separate the text on the left page. I have left a lot of room for a big title so it catches the readers eye.
Photo Selection Process
I did a total of three photoshoots for my music magazine. I then made a contact sheet and chose the most relevant photographs for my magazine.
